Musicians: Coffeehousetour.com is a free resource that enjoys assisting musicians in obtaining gigs, and venues in obtaining musicians. In addition to the free use of our database, we are embarking on gathering venues across the US that we do the booking in at least one regular day on the schedule per month as a part of our Coffee House Tour promotion effort. So that you can keep up with the venues we are booking, they will be listed on the front page of the site on the right hand side. The link will take you to their inner site page, for the details. Other venues must be contacted via the info on their database listing. We insist that you follow these guidelines in order for it to be a pleasant experience for all. 1. Send us a simple email, leading us to your site chosen EPK site so we can hear music, and expressing interest in whatever venue you are bucking for. Often we receive emails simply stating "listen to our music and tell us what you think". Well, about what? If you are in need of some good email promo and booking tips, just ask. We are here to help. On the flip side, if you are abundantly blessed with promotional savvy writing skills, please know, that there is no need for a bunch of text gab or sales speak when writing us. We are down-to-earth folks that still appreciate professionalism, just minus the glitter. And because we want you to lead us to your music...we expect it will speak for itself. DO NOT SEND US MP3's. They will be deleted if unsolicited. We don't open attachments unless we expect them - but still, no music to hear? No booking. Invest in myspace. And we do that too for you, if needed. And we promote it as well! 2. NO PHONE CALLS. No exceptions. You have to imagine that if permitted we would stay on the phone with musicians 24/7. Can't do it. Email is our required and only method of contact. And we do have a reputation for answering them promptly. Please honor this request..because a phone call will net you nothing but an irritated me :) VENUES MAY CALL ANYTIME. 3. Save the tree's and do not mail unsolicited press kits unless you want a review on the CD. It's useless for booking purposes, and wasteful of your hard-earned money. EPK's only and please put in the subject line CoffeeHouseTour Booking. 4. We expect and require that you promote your gig! Just because it's a coffee shop and you are largely playing for tips, does not mean you can be lazy and assume it's ok with us. We take pride in our work with you and the coffee house community..so we expect you to do the same. Snail Mail one nice poster, at least, to the venue 2-3 weeks out of your gig date. Anyone not mailing a poster will not be considered for future gigs. And the venue owners do tell us. 5. All cancellations must be made via email to awarner@coffeehousetour.com and carboned to jake@coffeehousetour.com to make sure one of us gets it in case the net screws up. AND a phone call to the venue as soon as you know. Each venues telephone number is on the agreement that is emailed to you prior to confirming the gig. That you must keep and have with you when you arrive. 6. We expect for musicians to arrive promptly, with great positive attitudes and carry yourselves professionally - but you'd be surprised how many don't. When booked by CHT, you are representing CHT's choice of artist as well as yourself. Don't be one of those musicians that disappoints us and your own career. CHT does not support the trade of alcohol for music. So any decisions like that are between you and the venue manager. Drink responsibly. Please download the pdf agreements below for each venue below you are interested in. Then write us if you are still interested. We will send it again and require you to reply with agreed in the subject block. You are responsible for printing it, and making sure you sign it and give it to the venue prior to performing. This is a good habit to be in, having an agreement with you at your gig. So start practicing here. Bottega Bella's Juggling Gypsy Higher Grounds Hookah Cafe Agreement 7. And last but not least...Please ask questions when you are unsure of anything one of these gigs offers. And please make sure to respect the venues musical style. And adhere to their policies as well. Have a great one! Annette & Jake
